Privacy Policy
Last updated: August 3, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how FOP Yaroslav Rozumnyi (“MarketPulse”, “we”, “us”) collects, uses and protects your personal data when you use trading-edge.app and related services. We act as the data controller for the personal data described below.
1. Data we collect
- Account data — your email address, plus your plan and its expiry date. Your password, sign-in methods and login sessions are held by Clerk, our authentication provider, and never reach our own database.
- Usage & content — everything you create in the app: saved searches and filters, strategies and their backtest runs, market replay sessions with their trades and day notes, and trading journals with their entries, individual trades and cash flows.
- Payment data — paid plans are charged by card through Creem, our merchant of record, who operate the checkout. Your card details go to them and never reach us — we do not see or store a card number. We store only a subscription and order reference, the amount and currency, the payment status they report back to us, and when the plan was credited.
- Technical data — our server and CDN logs record IP addresses and device/browser information as part of normal operation and to protect the service against abuse. We also run cookieless website analytics, which report only aggregate visit counts and never identify you or store anything on your device (see our Cookie Policy). We run no advertising trackers.
- Data stored in your browser — some features keep data only on your device, in localStorage, and never send it to us: your chart drawings, and the notes and tags you attach to trading days. Clearing your browser data deletes it permanently, and we cannot recover or export it for you.
- Consent records — the version of these policies you accepted and the time you accepted them, captured when you create your account.
2. How and why we use it (legal bases)
- To provide and secure the service and your account — performance of a contract.
- To process subscriptions and prevent fraud — contract and legitimate interests.
- To send you service email you cannot opt out of while you hold an account — email verification and password resets, which Clerk sends on our behalf, and a reminder before a paid plan lapses, which we send — performance of a contract.
- To send product/marketing email, where you opted in — consent, withdrawable at any time.
- To keep the service available and resist abuse — legitimate interests.
- To meet legal, accounting and tax obligations — legal obligation.
3. Who we share it with (processors)
We share data only with service providers that process it on our behalf under a data processing agreement:
- Clerk — accounts, sign-in, passwords, email verification and session management. Clerk holds your credentials and the record of your sign-ins.
- Creem — merchant of record: card payment processing, checkout, subscription billing, tax and receipts.
- DigitalOcean — application and database hosting.
- Cloudflare — CDN, DNS and DDoS/security protection.
- Our email provider — delivery of the service and marketing email described above.
- Plausible Analytics — cookieless website analytics. It receives no account data: only the page being viewed, the referring site and coarse device/country information, all of it aggregated and none of it tied to you.
We do not sell your personal data, and we do not share it with advertising networks or data brokers.
4. International transfers
Some processors may store or process data outside your country, including outside the EEA/UK. Where they do, transfers are protected by appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.
5. How long we keep it
We keep your account and everything in it for as long as your account exists. When you delete your account, all of it — your profile, saved searches, strategies, backtest runs, replay sessions, journals and your payment records — is erased from our database immediately and permanently. We do not keep a shadow copy, and deletion cannot be undone.
Deleting your account also deletes it at Clerk, so your credentials and sign-in history go with it.
Two things sit outside that erasure. Our payment processor keeps its own record of transactions it handled, under its own legal and accounting obligations — that copy is theirs, not ours, and is governed by their privacy policy. And server and CDN logs containing IP addresses age out on their own retention cycle rather than being deleted per-account.
6. Your rights
Subject to applicable law, you have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict or object to processing, to data portability, and to withdraw consent at any time. From Settings you can export everything we hold as a single file, manage your password and sign-in methods, and permanently delete your account. Because your credentials live with Clerk, that export is our half of the picture — Clerk can provide theirs on request, and the export includes the identifier that links the two. For anything else, or if you would rather we did it for you, contact us at privacy@trading-edge.app — we respond within 30 days as the GDPR requires. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
7. Security
We protect data in transit with TLS, delegate credential storage to Clerk — which means we never hold your password in any form, readable or hashed — and enforce access controls on the backend so that your data is reachable only by your own account. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your data and to notify you and the relevant authority of any breach as required by law.
8. Children
The service is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their personal data.
9. Changes
We may update this policy. Material changes will be notified in-app or by email, and we will update the “Last updated” date above.
10. Contact
