Cookie Policy
Last updated: August 3, 2026
This Cookie Policy explains what MarketPulse stores on your device using cookies and similar technologies (such as localStorage) on trading-edge.app, and how you can clear it.
1. We don't track you
MarketPulse sets no tracking cookies, and runs no advertising and no cross-site tracking. We do not profile you, and we have nothing to sell or share with ad networks. Because we set nothing that requires consent, there is no cookie banner to click through.
We do measure how the site is used, with Plausible — privacy-first, cookieless analytics. It stores nothing on your device, sets no identifier that can follow you between sites, and reports only aggregate figures: how many people viewed a page, which site or link they arrived from, and rough country, device and browser. It never receives your name, email or anything you create in the app.
2. What we do store on your device
Everything below is strictly necessary to run the app and is readable only by this site. Your preferences and chart work are kept in your browser's localStorage; your session is a first-party cookie:
- Your session — a cookie set by Clerk, our authentication provider, that keeps you signed in between visits. Strictly necessary: without it you would be signed out on every page load, so it needs no consent and gets no banner.
- Your preferences — light or dark theme, and which journal and filters you had open, so the app opens where you left it.
- Your chart work — drawings you place on charts, and the notes and tags you attach to trading days. This never leaves your device and is never sent to our servers.
3. Clearing it
Clearing this site's data in your browser removes all of the above. Doing so signs you out and permanently deletes your chart drawings, notes and tags — because they were only ever stored locally, we hold no copy and cannot restore them.
4. Third parties
Clerk handles sign-in and sets the session cookie described above; its sign-in form may also set a strictly necessary cookie to resist automated abuse. Cloudflare, which protects and delivers the site, may set a strictly necessary cookie to identify malicious traffic. If you buy a paid plan you are sent to Creem's own checkout page, which is governed by their cookie and privacy policies rather than this one.
